Rob Richards began his career following graduation from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif., where he earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts.
Rob returned to his native Phoenix to be the creative director for Gannett Outdoor, which was later acquired by Eller Media Company. As senior VP, creative director in Eller Media’s corporate office, Rob oversaw 26 markets and worked with both national and local accounts creating effective outdoor and general advertising.
Eller Media merged with Clear Channel Communications and Rob was involved in the complete rebranding of Clear Channel, including logos, graphics and overall corporate standards. Rob still continued his national creative presence in outdoor, working with clients like Budweiser, Coca Cola and Discount Tire Company.
At Owens Harkey Advertising, Rob serves as the agency’s creative director and supervises a variety of creative solutions for local and national accounts, including outdoor, print and collateral campaigns.
Rob’s work has been published in Communication Arts, Southwest Art and Print Magazine. His work has been honored at the Addy’s and American Institute of Graphic Art shows; he has judged various ad shows and has been a two-time judge for the Obie Awards.
